I’ve seen most of the first season plus various episodes of other seasons (I watch them with my friend, too).
To be honest, I started watching because I see it all over my dash and thought I would see what it was all about. Plus, one of the people I follow just loves Destiel, so I thought I’d check that out as well.
So clearly, the first season doesn’t have Castiel, so I got sort of impatient and started watching Destiel fanvideos.
So basically, my question is:
how is it people watch Supernatural and not ship Destiel
how explain this to me
Clearly, I haven’t seen all the episodes, but Destiel is as clear as day to me. Let me just say, there have been very few ships I’ve ever been as quick to jump on board with than Destiel (I’d say Merthur is about it, tbh).
Like I said, I haven’t watched all the episodes, but from the fanvideos and various random episode watching, all these lines just scream Destiel:
- Don’t let me lose you, too.
- Dean and I do share a more profound bond.
- I’d have died for you.
- We’ve been through much together, you and I.
- I did it, all of it, for you. (There are not enough feelings for this line. Just not enough.)
- I gave everything for you.
- I’m doing this for you, Dean. I’m doing this because of you.
- I was getting too close to the humans in my charge…you.
- I do everything that you ask. I always come when you call.
- Don’t ever change.
- I’m gonna find some way to redeem myself to you. (Castiel has to be absolutely sure that Dean realizes this. Absolutely sure.)
- Has anyone but your closest kin ever done more for you?
- Personal space, Cas. (I haven’t seen all the episodes, but I don’t recall Cas having this problem with anyone else.)
And the last episode, where Castiel….
I’m already too attachedyou know…Dean pulls his trenchcoat out of the water and holds it, and you can tell he’s heartbroken. And then there’s like these looks they give each other. With Merthur, they have eye sex like some people breathe, but it’s not eye sex with Dean and Cas (okay, not all the time). It’s like…a look of deep understanding. There’s something behind those stares that I can’t quite put my finger on, but I’m sure I will as time goes on. I mean, how many photosets have you seen of them just staring at each other?
Anyway, I don’t believe a romance has to be sexual. A romance is based on feelings, and there are definitely feelings. It makes me sad to think that if Cas’s vessel was a girl, they’d be together, no doubt. But because we live in a stupid society where a homosexual relationship wouldn’t be accepted on mainstream TV, they can’t be together. Because you know—you know—if his vessel was female, they’d be dating. Probably freaking married.
So basically, this ship already gives me too many feelings. I feel like as I go on, they won’t get any better, either.
All of my followers are like, “Fuck she’s entering another fandom and another ship. ABORT MISSION ABORT MISSION.”
Destiel is the most canon, non-canon ship to ever exist. Welcome to our fandom and to our ship. *passes the tissues*
God it would be so fucking easy for them to make it canon at this point.
don’t ship it for...John and Sherlock. I appreciate that there is a deep friendship being...
I haven’t met Cas yet on the show, but I already ship Destiel because of Tumblr.
^THIS. ALL OF THIS. THIS IS ME, EXACTLY, RIGHT NOW.
THIS - to everything! Dean/Cas *is* a romance...tell me otherwise. As a
I’m going to reply seriously to this. The writers tried to introduce a love interest into the story with Jo in season 2,...
^What they said. Welcome aboard.
